  • So very little sleep :)

Last night we had our lock-in and while it wasn't a traditional lock-in because some people came and went as the night went on we all had a great time.  Whether we were watching movies, playing smaller games and has the entire church involved in a game there were about 30 people who were enjoying a time of fellowship and community.  As you may have guessed this morning is moving slower than most and we are all a little tired.  Please pray for us as we clean the church and prepare to head out late this morning.  This has been such a life changing week for all of us and our prayer now is that we get home safely tomorrow and that once we are home we never forget what God has taught us here.  Whether friends, laughter, lessons, tears, healing and new understand of God's design for who we are we all are not the same people that we were when we came.  What a great thing to say about any trip!  Thank you all for your prayers and support and please continue to pray for us that when we go home our lives would only begin to reflect how deeply we love the Lord our God.

  • so much healing

Tonight's post was a little vague but it was posted during a time that was so powerful that to put it into words would never have done it justice.  Tonight so many members of our team shared things with each other and experienced a sense of healing that was amazing.  We ended our family time with the leaders surrounding the students, both ours and those that were with us from Fernwood, and praying over them.  After that we had an unknown amount of time worshipping our Lord through song and giving praise to His name.  What a phenominal night!  Thank you Lord for all the amazing work you are doing in and through us.  You truly have blessed all of us with your Spirit.

  • We have one more full day and we can't believe it's almost over!

Throwing up...crying...prayer...and true love and fellowship.  It has been a phenominal day.

  • update

God has been doing some amazing things in the hearts and minds of our team and it has been such an amazing thing to witness.  On top of that more and more people have been coming by to join us both at our kid's club and our times in the evening.  Please continue to pray for all of our team members and for those here in Fernwood.  God is truly blessing all of us.  Yesterday while some of the team was down at the park two of our guys stayed back for a men's bible study and the conversation from that was amazing.  We have all been so blessed and are still anticipating even more from God.  Please continue to pray for our lock-in on Friday and our kid's club in the mornings.  It seems like just yesterday that we got into town and we are already almost heading home.

Please continue to pray for the hearts of the team members as many of us are dealing with a lot while on this trip as well.  Pray that we would be able to continue to lean into God and allow Him to give us clarity and direction as well as focus for what He has for us here and now.

Thank you all for your loving support.

  • end of day three

We are planning a lock-in for Friday evening and have already had some who have expressed interest so please pray that this event will lead to some great conversations.  Please be praying that we continue to run into more people.  Also our team is in need of more patience with each other as being in such close quarters we have begun to have a need for space.  Please pray that we are able to push through this trial and embrace each other as brothers and sisters.  However, through all of this we have been learning to rely upon each other and draw strength from one another.

We have also been learning that a mission trip may not always be meeting non-Christians and telling them about Jesus but sometimes it’s encouraging those who already know Him.  We have been all waiting on God’s timing and have all been learning so much from that.

We have all found a lot of encouragement from this:

    Isaiah 40:31

“Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.”

  • Another day, another opportunity

We just finished up with our morning kid's program and even though we haven't had many kids so far it has been so great to spend time with them and tell them about the love of Jesus.

After lunch half of our team is going to work on a service project while the other half is headed into Santa to canvas the community.  Please pray that both halves have opportunities to share the Gospel with those that we come in contact with.  We have already met many from the community and are looking forward to meeting even more as the week continues to go on.

Thank you all for your loving support and prayers.  This trip has been made possible becasue of all the time you have spent on bended knee for all of us.

  • Day Three

A couple quick prayer requests for the Fernwood team today.

    • Our openness to what God has for each of us
    • That we would continue to meet people and embrace this town as our home
    • We would show Christ through our actions AND our speech
    • Our team unity would grow and that we would truly be a family.

Thank you all for your support.  We are hoping to post again later today to give you updates and hopefully tell some amazing stories of how God is moving in and through us.

  • Day two beginning

We are all up and getting ready for Sunday worship with Fernwood Community Bible Church.  Today we are going to explore the town and hopefully meet some more great people.  Please continue to pray that we are open to what the Spirit has for us not only to do but for us to learn as well.  The team seems to be meshing well with the two churches and we ask that you all would pray that this continues as we make life long friendships with each other as well as those in Fernwood.

If anyone is trying to reach us by phone we do not have service here so that is why none of us are responding to anything.  The best way to get a message through is going to be through a personal facebook or email as we do have internet access.  Through out the week we intend to also try to outreach to the near by town of Santa as well.  I don't know yet if we will have service there though.

We are all excited for what God is already doing in all of our hearts and are looking forward to being able to share what that is with anyone and everyone that we meet.

Thank you all for your prayers and God bless you all.

  • Our First Day In Fernwood!

Hey everyone!  We have officially arrived here in Fernwood and are settled into the church.  We have already met many of the people that go to the church and are very excited to join FCBC for Sunday morning worship tomorrow morning.

Some prayer request are that we would all be able to embrace the people of the town and that we are able to continue to meet more and more of this community.  We also are all somewhat tired and as a result we have been somewhat irritable with each other.  Pray that our team unity remains strong and that we can truly form a family group of brothers and sister in Christ for the sake of allowing His light to shine through us.

Thank you all for your loving support and prayers.

  • Prayer Requests

Hey there wonderful supporters from Exodus, Living Hope and beyond!  We are gearing up for the final push over the next couple of weeks and are getting really excited for God has in store for all of us.  A couple prayer requests that we would love to have you partner with us on are:

    • Preperation for the trips themselves as we continue to learn how to engage in spiritual conversations with our family, friends, neighbors and anyone else we come in contact with.
    • Fernwood and Juliaetta, ID.  That we all would partner together for the sake of furthering God’s Kingdom.
    • Finances.  Both teams are still short of their mark of $500/person and we would love and be honored to have you pray with us that this bench mark would be reached!

Thank you all so much, these trips would not be possible without your loving support and most of all your prayers.  You are truly a part of our teams and we cannot thank you enough.
