Today we had Sunday Service at the church we are currently being homed in. We met some nice people and we got a good chance to hear testimonies from some of our own members. Their stories were very heartfelt and warming to hear. Being the one of the youngest members here, I am having trouble on why I am even out here. Don't judge me, i did feel a calling from Jesus, but i don't know why just yet. If you guys could mention me in your prayers that would be great. Every soul counts. Today we got our first taste of the work here and it felt great. The weather wasnt too hot, but it got some people a little sick. I think the motto of this place is WATER WATER WATER! The people here helped us soo much. I think we are being spoiled becuase the food is amazing, we get soo much free time and we get SHOWERS!!! Tomorrow we are getting ready to help out the community center and I cant wait to do so. For my 1st mission out here, its been pretty good. Try to remember me in your prayers. Thanks!!!
Today was sunday so we woke up and had bible study @ 930am. And then @ 1030am, we had sunday service. Chulsoo and Sarah lead praise for the 1030am and it was a blessing to have them bless the congregation in that manner. After lunch, we had an opportunity to do work around the church to beautify it. We did that until dinner time which was @ 5pm. After dinner, we had a 630pm evening prayer and praise time. In that time, we had 3 of our members get up and give their testimonies. I know that it blessed the congregation, but it blessed me just as much. I am more excited and in anticipation as to how the Holy Spirit is going to use us to plant seeds of love into the hearts of those who need Him here in Sandy Valley. Once again, we appreciate the prayers which are so needed. God bless you all!
Hi. My name is Daniel Chung and I am a sixth grader here in Sandy valley. This is my first time on a mission with my church. As we have started to get settled in our "home", we are going to start tonight the first thing on our agenda. I do not know what is it called but the focus on it is to be able to talk to and get to know the people here. I ask for those of you who read this are able to pray for me and my fellow brothers and sisters to be able to find people we can relate to have the courage to meet new people. Also I ask if u can pray for psyical and spritual stregth to be able to get to communicate to the people of Sandy Valley. God Bless those of you who can. Thank you. :)
We (Antioch, New Church of Federal Way, and One Love Church) have finally arrived in Sandy Valley, Nevada!! We were picked up by Pastor Jeremy McLellan. When we arrived in Sandy Valley, we were able to meet his wife Christy and their 3 kids (Timothy, Bailey, and Abby). They are great and adorable kids. Today (june 26) we unloaded our luggage, took a quick tour of the town, and are just getting ourselves acclimatized as well as having downtime. Tomorrow is when we will be helping out by helping around the church as well as helping out in the sunday and sunday evening service. And Monday, we will start helping around the community here. Please keep praying for us as well as the people here in Sandy valley. We are excited to be able to come here and plant the seeds in the hearts of those who don't know Him. We really appreciate all the prayers^^ God bless!!
