Day 2 in corvallis. to be completey honest when I first heard that im going to Corvalis and not Ronan, I got super frustrated. I wasn't even sure that I wanted to go on the trip anymore. And thats when I figured out my heart wasn't in the right place. And now that I'm on the trip and doing my best with the worship, trying to get to know the locals, and getting closer with my team by the minute, and seeing all this that God did when I didnt have the faith, I'm extremely glad that I'm here, and I feel that I need to be here. God is at work here and I see it. Now I need to get coffee. Have a good day readers, and keep praying for this team, cause its only the second day and this week is going to be awesome!

Praying for both teams--health, safety, relationship/ outreach opportunities which it appears God is providing, that teams' realtionships would grow so members could really support & encourage each other & ongoing contacts with those that God wants you to share Jesus with. Also that God would be preparing those hearts as you go. Finally, that local church youth would see that God does work through you & wants to work through them.
I am a Zion youth parent. I attended the prayer service at your church in Seattle the night before you all left. This has been a prayer of mine since that evening as I wondered if some of the youth who didn't get to go with the Louisiana youth might be disappointed. I prayed that each of you who ended up going to Corvallis with Zion's youth would see God at work in your lives so you would know that this was what God had in his plans for you. I am very moved with how God has worked in the big picture. To inspire the Louisiana youth to want to take part in a mission like this because of your mission in their town last year. Surely God is still at work, building relationships and allowing you to come to know others from Zion and work along side them as well as those you are meeting in Corvallis. I praise God for the opportunity for Zion's youth to be with a group who has done this in a previous year. Thank you for being one of those youth! I thank the Lord for answering my prayers and opening the hearts of Grace's youth to the opportunities that await them during the rest of this week in Corvallis! And praise the Lord for all that he is doing in everyone who is touched by this mission trip to both Corvallis & Ronan! Because of our youth partnering with you -- I am now praying for those who are both in Ronan & Corvallis! Praise God for the wonderful ways in which he works in our lives!
