  • HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

Happy 4th of July!  Well done good and faithful servants (Matthew 25:23)!  Can't wait to see you all tomorrow!  - Kevin and Teri Cool

  • Testimonies from two nights

I didn't get testimonies up last night because we had a party, so I am putting a couple up now.

  • Dean- yesterday was sweet!

    Yesterday was busily awesome!

we had some free time, and went bridge jumping with some of the youth!

  • From Dad to Haley

    Hey, Gracie!

We continue to pray for you and the rest of the missions team.  Sounds like you guys stay busy and don't get much sleep.  But as Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."  I'm sure Jesus was talking about being mentally, emotionally and spiritually tired, but can also provide the rest you need physically as well.  Lean on Him.  He will be faithful in His promise and give you rest.

We've been hoping to see your testimony on the blog.  Do you know if it's going to be on here?

I understand some of your team jumped from a bridge into the water today.  What a blast!  I don't even need to ask....  I know you kept your feet on solid ground.   :o)   But I'm sure you'll have some pictures to share with us when you get home!  We can't wait to see you and hear all about your 10 days of ministry!

We're going over to Grandpa and Grandma C's tomorrow for swimming, bbq and fireworks.  They've invited G & G Button, too.  As you can imagine, Grant has his arsenal of fireworks all set to go (all legal, of course).  We'll miss having you celebrate the 4th with us, but we know that you're with your "eternal family" and that you'll be having a great time.  Be safe and have fun!

Enjoy these last remaining days.  Our prayers will be with all of you as you travel home.

I love you, Haley!      - Dad

  • Rachel Hance to Ryan

Ryan, Another amazing night for your All Star team. They won against Kent tonight 9 to 5. They play Federal Way American/National tomorrow at 9:00a.m. Just thought you'd like to know. Hope your day was amazing too! We can't wait to see you. Love, Mom

  • Devon and Lance H.

This is from Logan: Lance, the dodgeball game was really, really fun. It was so fun, but I wish you were there. When you come home, I'd like you to teach me to play the drums, if that's alright. Devon, I really miss you, too. I have been painting some of my mini figures at Jacob's house. I can't believe we're going to have Fourth of July without you. It's going to be really sad. Bye. From Mom: tell Paul Loringer and Troy Howell that we've been praying for them, too. They are the guys' whose cards we picked up, so they've been in our prayers daily, too. Talk to you soon, Mom

  • Cascade-To Branden & Athena

Hi, we miss you very much and can't wait to see you. It is so awesome reading the blogs and seeing all the wonderful things God is doing in the towns and with all of you.  We are very proud of all your hard work and your boldness to reach out to others.  It sounds like you both are having alot of fun and making alot of new friends. Branden I read that you gave your testimony, that is so wonderful. Do you know if it was recorded?  Athena, when will you be giving your testimony?  God is great and it shows in all that you are doing for the town of Cascade and the youth. It saddens me to hear when kids want to go to youth group but are not allowed to.  Our prayers go out to you both and the rest of the group for safe travels and continued success in God's work. Can't wait to see you both.  Love Mom and Dad. Cool

  • Cambridge Daily Update--Kyle and Jake. Thursday.

Last night was a blast we had a mini party with all the kids from Cambridge and we were up really late and ran out of blog time. So the fallowing is for Thursday 7-2.

Service: Today we all split up into small groups for our service projects. Dean and Jake helped paint a sign for an R.V. Dump. Later they joined up with Micah Ryan and Tom who were putting in a fence across a field. The group that went out to chop bushes yesterday went back today. Another group went to an elderly lady's house to help clean the place and do chores that she can no longer do. She was a really nice lady.

Outreach: Yesterday was super windy and made rabbit sticks hard to play but Jake improvised and with help from Kyle, Tom, and Elliot, a kid from town, the game went off very well. Then, after the game Micah, Cami, and Keyelle shared their testimonies and did a great job! Micah was very organised and had powerful points that left students thinking, Keyelle left hope for the hopless as she shared her walk with God and how her sister's wavy life made challenging times, but ultimatly God reigned supreme. Finally Cami showed that God was a father to the "fatherless" and afterwords got to talk to a girl about the bridge of faith and show her what baptism was. The girl who was already a Christain is now ready to be baptised. Students joined us at the church well into the night to hang out, play games, and for some talk about God.

God is at work in this town and he is using us every minute we are here. We know tonight will be a success and God will use us.

  • Derek-- Thursday in Cascade

    Parents and Loved ones,

God has and is doing amazing things through our students this week.  I am sure you have read other blogs about our community service efforts so I will not go into that right now.

We have seen 4 students dedicate their lives to following Christ this week.  Our students were able to share with them and we have been able to connect them with the Youth Pastor here (Andy) for follow up. Andy is a great guy and this community is blessed to have him.

2 students that are up here on vacation joined our team on Tuesday and have been with us ever since.  Jordan and Brayden are their names.  Jordan had not committed his life to following Christ before this week and decided to make that committment, so I was blessed to baptize him Thursday.  They are both great kids and we were blessed to have them with us this week.  It will be very hard to say goodbye.

Athena Balles has decided that she would like to get baptized and we will be doing that on the 4th of July in Liberty Lake near Spokane.  What a way to reunite our teams!!!  We are all so excited for her decision.

It has been amazing to watch our students grow as the week has pressed on.  They have been so bold in sharing thier faith and done an amazing job with the service projects we were given.  I am very proud of each student on both teams and you should be also.  God has blessed us with tremendous kids.

    Derek
