Today was an awesome last day!! We had some interesting pancakes for breakfast lol Oreo...lol Yummy! We split up into teams, some people stayed at the church to help clean up the building, some went to help with yard work at another ladies house who is the grandma of one of the kids here, and some of us went to cut up and haul loads of wood from a fallen tree at a family's house (who are involved here at the church, and are really cool!). I went with the team to cut up the tree! Anyway, after that we went bridge jumping! Which was Awesome! All of us had a lot of fun, quite a few Cambridge kids came along as well. We baptized Abbey (Fifield)! It was awesome! Then we came back and got ready for outreach, ate dinner, had outreach, now we are back at the church after worship!! :) This is a shoutout to BILLIE!!! hahaha cause she told me to lol And a shoutout to LEVI!!! lol. Peace.
Hey! I havent blogged all week so i have alot to say! Ok so when we got here i was really scared i wasnt going to make a difference but i ended up talking to this girl Charity. She is 13 and has had a very hard life but after getting to talk to her we ended up talking anout baptism and she was going to today but now July 11th is when she is but i am so happy i could even talk to her. Jill and I were able to talk to her about her life and hopefully we are able to help her from home. I am so sad we are leaving tomorrow. I have made so many relationships here i dont want to leave. Hopefully i am able to come back next month. Or even later this month to see Charity get baptized. I have also grown up a ton! I am gaining confidence which i am proud of. I am also more pacient which i have been working on. I am so happy God has given me so many wonderful oppertunities.
I have loved it here so much. Everyone is so welcoming and loving and hard working. It taught me to have a better servants heart. It has been really hot here and i am getting really dark:) I am very excited to see what God is going to do through me the rest of this trip! I have also gotten really close to some people in my group too. I am very excited and happy i could make these relationships.
I shared my testimony a few nights ago and i actually got people thanking me for it including some i never ever thought would. I have been getting so much closer to Jesus and i hope this continues through my life!
I love you all!!!
Love, Kristel
Hey there, I can't believe it's already Friday and I'm just now sitting down to write this. We've been doing so much this week, it's been go go go ever since we arrived. Well since I can't tell you everything that has happened this week I'll just go with the highlights.
Sunday morning we attended the church, and I actually wore a skirt. Shocker, I know! It was really different than any church I've ever been to and I was surprised at how much I really liked singing the old hymns, and even the unstructured church service. I've loved the closeness of the people in the town ever since I got here abd everyone knows everyone here which makes it really easy to get to know people.
Tuesday night there was a big windstorm that knocked a tree down at one of the houses near were we are staying. It hit the water line and it broke it, so Wednesday morning we packed ourselves up and went over to help cut the tree up to move it. That was definitely one of the best days because not only did I get to use my hands and I got to do that physical work, but I was also doing it for the right reason which was helping others and bringing the glory to God. That was also the day I got to meet Billie and Jesse, the two teens who live in the house where the tree fell. I've enjoyed getting to know them and build that relationship with them both.
Yesterday we went over to a senior citizen center and split off into some different groups. Some people washed windows, some people picked up rocks so the grass could be mowed, and four of us went with this guy named Kermit and hoed potatoes, or excuse me, "hilled" potatoes technically. It was Jordan T., Eric, Emily, and I who went to help Kermit and we made up a pretty exciting song to hoe to:)
Well, now I have more awesome fun things to go do today so bye for now!

Hello to all, as I sit here listening to both Jordan O'dell and Jordan Thompson compose songs together on the piano (Which actually all sound really good!), I can't help but think about how this whole week has been going. God is SO good, and I truely believe that he has placed this specific group of people in Cambridge for such a time as this. We all have grown closer to each other as a team as well as each of us growing closer to the teens in the town. God has used me is so many ways I never knew possible. I have actually grown to really like being in front of audiences, secretly... My testemony was a piece of cake to give, and I was asked to announce one night and it was pretty cool. I've also been singing along side Abbey and that has been going really well! Many of the younger boys and girls in our team have stepped up to the plate and have been whitnessing to the students here in Cambridge and it is so good to see how God is using them and it make me feel excited for them by just watching the Holy Spirit stir in them. Jill had said to me the morning after the storm had hit Cambridge and the neighboring towns, that she just always feels so great when she knows that she is part of God's plan. I personally can't help but agree with her on that. We have been given the privilage to help Billie and Jesse, and Scotty and Josiah, with fallen trees and destroyed hay barns and to just show our love to them and that God loves them and has placed us in their lives at these moments for a reason. Tomorrow is our last day here to whitness to these people and it almost makes me upset because there is so much more that I wish I could do! But God has a plan for this town and for each of us and I can only hope and pray that with what we have done in this town is enough to impact the lives here greatly. Abbey and I are going over to Billie's tomorrow to help her around her house with whatever needs to be done. She is an amazing girl and we both would greatly appriciate any prayers for our conversation with Billie and that opportunities are given to us to start a conversation with her about Jesus and that we can stat to plant that seed. God is definately using everyone of us and our gifts on this trip each day. Like I said, God is SO good. All the time.
Cannot wait to see everyone on Saturday! I'm praying for Cascade and Counsil and that you all have been blessed with opportunities to whitness to the kids in those towns and if you haven't yet, that hopefully tomorrow will bring in that oportunity! You all are so amazing!
(sorry for any gramical or punctual errors.. I tried my best! :)_

I shared my testimony tonight! I was really nervous, but once I got up there it got easier and I think it went really well. I also was able to share the Bridge of Faith with two girls tonight! It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Today has been an awesome day, this morning we got to sleep in, then when we did community service I hoed REAL Idaho potatoes for an elderly man. We also had a huge car wash this afternoon, and everybody was spraying each other with the hoses. It was pretty sweet. I'm so excited that I got to share the Bridge of Faith!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, hope that everybody else is doing well... I think my testimony will be uploaded onto the blog pretty soon, for those who want to see it. To my family... love you guys and miss you!

So, we slept in late today. We were all very tired from all the community service projects we have been doing throughout the week. Please keep praying for energy and strength so that we can continue to show Christ's love and serve the community. We had a simple breakfast this morning, poptarts and cereal. After that we went to an assisted living center and washed the windows and picked up tons of rocks from a nearby field, it was nice seeing the residents outside serving us lemonade and cookies and being appreciative of our work. After that we headed downtown (lol, downtown = less than 6 shops) and put together a free car wash. We had to wash not only regular cars, but an ambulance and a firetruck. I helped Scotty (One of the people here from Cambridge) to set up the sprinklers on the school field, now we are eating dinner before we head to outreach. I am giving my tesimony tonight!! :) Pray for me!
Yesterday we had an amazing day! In the morning, Victoria and Emily went to the Laundromat to wash clothes... it was kinda awkward and gross. Kaylee, Mikayla, Abbey, and Billie went around town washing windows for the businesses in the community. We also had Jessica, Kristal, Rozita, and Vanessa staining logs at a widowed neighbor's house. Lance, Eric, Shipley, and Jordan O went to help with irrigation, picking up scrap metal, and baling hay at a local farm. Jesse, Jordan T, and Max dug a fire pit for a neighbor and Devon and Nathan chopped firewood. After lunch, we all were able to go swimming in the river, which was very refreshing after a couple days of hard work. For dinner, we had a BBQ in the park and many of us had the opportunity to get to know the people in the town and start spiritual conversations with them. So far, everyone who has done their testimonies did really well, but we ask for continued prayer that God would speak through us and touch the hearts of the teenagers attending.
So, all in all, we've been having an awesome time in Cambridge. If you guys could continue to pray for boldness in starting spiritual conversations and sharing our testimonies, that would be great.
Hi Everyone,
We had a great day today. We spent the morning clearing out a fallen tree that fell in last night's storm. It was awesome to see the joy on their faces when we showed up and removed a massisve tree from their yard. It was also awesome being on a job that included a chainsaw. We also got to work along side the teenage kids in the family all day too, which was great. We worked hard today and everyone is very tired. I've been proud of our students willingness to work and impressed by how hard everyone is working. Some of our girls are out working the boys.
Outreach went great. Vanessa and Jordan gave their testimonies tonight and both nailed it. As with all of our students thus far, they were very confident and it was clear that God was working through them. After Outreach we had many students join us for worship and Lance shared the Bridge of Faith.
Each day the relationships our students have with the teenagers here are growing stronger. It's been fun watching the friendships develop. I can't wait to see what God does with the reltionships that are building. Please pray for boldness for our students as they continue to enter into a spiritual conversation with thier new friends.
*I also have to give a shout out to the wonderful ladies that have been providing dinner for us. INCREDIBLE food every night! Second only to my Momma. It has been a real blessing for us thus far.
