We had our first outreach night at the school tonight and it was great! We had 11 local kids show up, which was awesome! We played a massive game of OTK (other than kickball), we made that up on the spot. It's kickball with some pretty twisted rules, such as running the bases in opposite order. Also, you can have as many runners on one base as you want, and they don't have to leave their base. We had 4 runners on base at a time!
The great thing about tonight was the weather. It was over 100 today, but after about a half hour at the school the field was covered completely in shade! Nice relief!
Testimonies were shared tonight by Caleb and Mikala, and we went to a local cafe, Mama Lou's, after the school. A few parents came so we had about 30 people there! It was a great time for our team to get to know the people of this town, and many from our group got into some spiritual conversations.
I'm going to ask you to pray for those who came to the school tonight specifically, we could consider this our "core" group for the week, many of them will likely come all week, some will take part in the discipleship mornings, and they will also be the ones to spread the word to their friends about the rest of the week! Here they are:
