We've completed our last day of VBS. We ended up with 11 of the 15 come back today, and finished with a blast. The kids loved the program, and are excited to share a couple songs with their parents tonight at 6:30 at the park. Speaking of the park, we're praying for a great time tonight. The church folks are joining us for a community BBQ tonight. We hope that it will begin to build bridges with the church. Please pray for opportunities to connect teens with the congregation. We've been battling some tiredness today, so please be praying that we're able to push through and allow God to use us. Thanks for praying Brad
The last two days have been filled with great times at VBS. some amazingly meals and productive times at the park. Please be praying for our last day tomorrow. Pray that we finish strong and hold nothing back. Tomorrow has VBS. 2 service projects, a community bbq and park time. We are sensing that the teens are open to discussing spiritual things but have lots of other influences in their life. Today drug a bit in terms of energy level but we ended strong and our ready for God to do great things tomorrow. Please be praying specifically for amy, caleb, melissa, luis, brian, derrick, tara, tamra, skyler, jason, andrew, brian and brandon. Pray for the church to show up to thebbq tomorrow with a heart to build relationships with teens. \nOur team mascot is Raja a stray kitten who Kalli and Stephanie have adopted. DonLt worry parents raja is not allowed to come home with us! Hopefully I\'ll be able to do a better update not on my phone tomorrow. Thanks so much for praying Brad.
We\'re under thunder and lightening watch for tonight. Please be praying for our ministry tonight. Pray that if weather doesn\'t cooperate we adapt well and find teens to hang out with. VBS was great today! Up to 15! Thanks for praying Brad
Wow sorry about the lack of updates today, its been very full. Yesterday we had 9 kids at VBS and today we\'re up to 12. Our team is doing a great job of leading. Please pray for the church to get involved as well. We have 2 ladies consistantly with us but we\'re hoping for more connections. Weve completed a service project each afternoon. Yesterday 4 of us spread bark for a needy family and today the other half od our team scrapped and prepped a porch for painting tomorrow. I\'s been great to serve in that way as well. Yesterday Outreach started with 2 kids playing the game with us with others being standoffish. As soon as we brought out popsicles they flockjed to us. Today we had at least 20 at the park! It was great to see some play soccer in the spribnklers, others play cards and then afterwards everyone spread out and just chatting. We all feel like we\'re in so now we pray for boldness to go deeper. Please be praying for us to have sttrengthened relationships with teens pRticularly skylar, andrew, luis, brittany, holly, grace, amy, skylar, caleb, brandon, tara, tamra and casey. There is a spirit of anti religion here and we hope to help build bridges to CHrist. We\'re all tired and ready for another day. we can\'t believe its only Tuesday seems like we\'ve been here a wjhile. Thanks for continued prayers we feel them Brad
From a town girl to Gideon \"You\'re not like the mormons.\" Praise God walls are falling down. Keep praying, God is moving! Longer update later Brad
hello. this is Shane Theibert for this blog. so far this week has been a chalenging experience for both the group and for the people in the church of Vale United Methodist. I was very impressed to see all of the people come together to serve us. as we are serving their comunity Oops off to dinner than outreach. More later Shane!
Tonight we started strong with our first park time. We had 3 join us for games and connected with several others at the skate park. There are tons of teens and opportunities for us to build relationships. Please be praying for open hearts for them to accept us outsiders. There is a huge mormon influence that seems to be turning people off to outsiders. Please be praying for us to continue to build connections. Our group is doing well. It's great to see everyone want to seek God and seek others. We start VBS and spread bark at a community member\'s house tomorrow so off to bed. Thank you for praying! I\'ll try to get some of our teens to update the blog too. Brad
Great morning of ministry so far. The church is very welcoming, and great to be a part of. The church service went well. Gideon and Katie led worship, Katie and Stephanie did special music, while Stephanie and Shane shared why they're in Vale and what God is doing in their life! Now the majority of our team is out at the park meeting more. Please be praying for our outreach tonight at 7pm Mountain Time. I believe that Vale UMC really has a heart for kids and their community just needs a spark to make it happen. We were all especially impressed with Lillith. Lillith is a 98 year old lady who still has her drivers license and drives 8 miles to and from church. We all spread out and had lunch with different church members. We all will definitely eat well this trip! Off to meet people and get ready for the park tonight! Brad
After 2 flights for one, a delayed flight for another and way too long in the car for everyone else we have madee it to Vale! Katie, Shane and Gideon got here first and got a great tour of the town from a couple church members with the rest of us getting in about 11 tonight. we are all tired but excited for a great day tomorrow. It\'s supposed to be 101 tomorrow so please pray for protection from heat. also fyi we are in the mountain time zone so we\'re an hour ahead. [hanks for praying and commenting\nGood Night!\nBrad
