  • A New Adventure

I am so excited to be starting the process for another mission. Our team is starting to get ready. Please be praying as we determine who exactly is going with us this summer. We have a lot of students wondering about jobs and other activities. We're hoping that God will open up schedules for several students to be able to attend. We are heading to the Spring Retreat this weekend and are anticipating great things! Please be in prayer for the details of our trip this year, and for our team. Thanks for praying!

  • Keep praying

Wanted to pass a long a sad prayer request.  One of the cops in Council, ID, Leroy was killed in a car accident today.  Please be praying for his family and those who knew him.

  • Continued Prayer

Just got a call from a team member with another prayer request.  They've been staying in touch with Amber from Council, and had a great conversation with her.  Pray for Amber that she will feel encouraged and find a support system as she's got a lot going on in her life!  The mission isn't over, it's only just beginning!

  • We are Home

We made it home about 3:15 this afternoon.  Now that everyone's home to check out the blog, let's keep it going.  If you went on the mission, what's a highlight or something God taught you.  If you didn't go, how have you seen God answers your prayers this week!

  • The Home Stretch

We've made it to Spokane and had a great last family time.  It's great to hear all of the things God has done in different cities.  We are now looking at our mission at home.  We all head home with things we are concerned about and want to work on.  We need you to help us be accountable.  Here are prayer requests from all of our team.  Also please comment and let us know how God worked in your life this week.  Especially those parents who went through the devotional with us.  What did God teach you?

Gideon: Knowing how to talk to friends about Christ and courage/wisdom

Miki: Not settling for less than God's best

Nate: Being a good example to siblings and patience

    Sam: Boldness/courage in sharing testimony

Katie: Seeking and trusting God with her summer

Brittnie: Keeping boldness especially with being 18

Stephanie: Remembering what happened this week and not limiting God

Brad: Not taking things personally and trusting in God to work

Shane: Boldness in talking about Christ in significant relationships and to show God's love

Tasha: Boldness to share Christ in significant relationships.

    Thanks for praying

  • It Is Not Over Yet

When Christ returns there will be much rejoicing. As I write our teens are out, in a very busy community looking for lost souls! The town is a bubbling with Fourth of July Frenzy. There is an additional 1000 people here to participate over the weekend. Cars from Colorado, Alaska, Oregon and even Washington fill the streets as people fill the stores. At first I thought, oh my gosh, this is going to create so much of a diversion that we won't be able to focus. In fact, I can see now the value of all the commotion. God, in His way, will use this for good. I have a secret goal for 100 teens tonight at the park - why not, let's all pray that way.

We are all asking the hard questions the questions we need to ask our family and friends back home - - - with or without Jesus? Let me tell you what Christ means to me. Do you want to meet Jesus? Did you know the Creator of the universe wants you to have a personal relationship with God?

So, we wander, we chat, we even sleep now and then but God is not only our Saviour and friend, but he is the God of this city at this time on this day and He is working more than we could ever imagine.

Your prayers have valued this team, so much that I would think that you will find your sons and daughters in a much brighter Christ-like light than ever before. Be ready to fan the flame.

With much love and gratitude to be a part of the RRCC team, Miki

  • How Great is Our God!!!

Don’t have a lot of time to update cause we’re going to hang out with some teens late night tonight, but I wanted to let you know this was a very successful day! Every single one of us was obedient to do what God wanted them to do. We were all very bold and there were some great things that happened. Particularly praise God that Macy and Taylor rededicated their life to Christ. They had both accepted him at a very young age but didn’t fully understand the commitment. We had several others realize that their relationship with God was not in a good place and needed to change how they lived. It was amazing to me how we had more teens from Council in family time than our own group. What a great day!
Also to update on the Doug story from earlier this week, Doug accepted Christ tonight! Praise God!

  • Living with tension

Hey everyone, today was kinda a tough day. There was a sense of complacency a bit and lots of tension tonight in family time so just be praying that we will not focus on that tomorrow and finish strong!  I think things ended well but it's a late night obviously so be praying we will finish well tomorrow!

  • Swingin' for Christ

It's amazing to me how God uses simple things to get into great conversations for Him.  One of the greatest tools for us this week have been the swings.  There have been 3 significant conversations between our group and town teens that have taken place on those swings.

Time at the park last night was great.  We had about 30 teens at the park last night, several of whom we hadn't met yet.  There were some great conversations, but seemed like there was a hardness in some of the teens that we hadn't seen before.  Please pray that God can soften the hearts of those teens.

God was totally in control of our evening last night.  The plan was for us to have a short family time and some of us go with the local teens porcupine hunting (big town tradition).  Well when Doug got hurt, I deicided to drive him to Weiser, which changed the porcupine plans.  I heard family time last night was one of the best ever.  Nate and Miki led and did a great job.  A majority of the time was in prayer.  We pray you'll be doing the same for us in these next few day.  Our goal and prayer for the day is that all of us will be bold to find out where our "one" is with Christ.

To update on Doug, he had 7 stitches, and had a long time in the car to share our stories.  He did not accept Christ but I think he is very open.  Pray that he will understand that the things in his past are not so bad that God can't forgive him.  That seems to be a real hangup right now.  Pray for more opportunities for us to share.

We're also sharing the salvation message at sports camp in about 45 min.  Pray that God will speak through me at that time.
