Welcome to Starbucks Coffee in Salem, OR, where a $2.55 Iced Coffee costs exactly that, not $2.81. To be in tax-free zone for a day is nice, just glad I don't have to pay state income tax come next April!
As I type teams from Taproot Church, Edgewood Baptist and Faith Baptist are loading up their vans, trucks, etc. to begin the journey to Salem and then on to these five communities in Northern California (from North to South, then to the West)
Scott Valley; Fort Jones & Etna (Faith Baptist)
Lakehead (Taproot)
Shasta (Edgewood)
French Gulch (Faith Baptist)
Lewiston (Faith Baptist)
As you have done all along, would love for you to read, pray and encourage them through the blogs. They are the teams listed as July 17-28.
I will post more about the Launch and provide some pictures after tonight and tomorrow!
Grace,
Brian
Hello friends of Youthmark! This is the Youthmark Staff Blog. We are a unique team with nearly 50 years combined Youth Ministry experience (but can you guess which one is the oldest?).
Brian Aaby (center) is the Founder and President of Youthmark. He will blog about all things Youthmark.
Kirk Petersen (right) is a Regional Director over Oregon and SW Washington. Kirk will be leading several of the Launches and will blog about some of the "coaching" he gets to do in preparing leaders for these trips and living out mission at home.
Aaron Bauer (left) is a Youthmark Mission Consultant and a live-in-the-flesh Youth Pastor. Aaron gives us a strong "on the ground" presence and can blog about how missionship is lived out before, during and after a trip.
