Wow so much has happened since we left its hard to recall it all. The drive over went well and was uneventful thankfully. We picked up our friend, Andrew, in Yakima and then drove over to Spokane where we met the rest of our team from Beaverton and also we met another church from Seattle that is going to three other towns over in Idaho. The next day we started off around 10:00 and arrived in Malta around 10:00pm so it was about 12 hours in the car. We drove with our Beaverton team so we stopped every now and then to eat lunch and take a tinkle. Over all it was not a bad drive over... I kinda enjoyed it.

The next day, Sunday, we got to meet the congregation of the church we're staying at and later that day we had a kickoff party/celebration for the start of VBS. We also got to meet the youth group and really had fun getting to know them.
Monday: got up early, ate breakfast, took a shower, got our cowboy costumes on, and then went over to the VBS. It is really going well, the kids are having fun and so are we. It has been a blast hanging out and getting to know each other and also the other youth group. The VBS starts off with a group sing time and then splits off into 4 different groups depending on their grades. I have the 3rd and 4th graders and lead the bible lesson which is up next. The first day I had 6 kids, the second I had 9, and today I had 7. They are all 3rd graders going into 4th and are quite the energetic bunch. I have Marcus, Miles, Wesley, Tavner/Tavy, Clara, Blake, George, Raden, and Elly. Anyway, after my bible lesson there's crafts, then music, games, snacks, missions, and then a closing service. After VBS the rest of the day changes depending on the day. Today were going to go back and prepare for day 4 VBS and then the home youthgroup has something planned for us to do. They did this to us yesterday,  after we finished our preparations we split into two groups and drove to 4 places and had a separate meal course. It was SOOO much fun and it was delicious.
Please be praying that I would find my material for the last 2 days of VBS. I guess I miss placed it and I had to do without today. It went well and I enjoyed it actually. I liked the challenge and also it helped me rely more on God to do the teaching instead of the material. But still, I would rather not do that again. :) Also, Elly came on day 2 and was really shy. When she first came in she was hiding behind her mother and when she saw I was her leader she said, "its a boy" like she was frightened. That day went by with her being really shy but she was starting to warm up to me and even smiled and laughed at me at the end of the day. Then, today, it started of she was fairly shy, but as we came up for the closing ceremony I was giving her a ride on my back and when we were saying by she gave me a BIG BIG hug. Like as big as a little girl and make a big hug. It was REALLY sweet :) That's so far my highlight of today :)
Well that's all the official stuff that's happened but there's been a lot of laughing and talking and making new friends and making present ones stronger. I've really loved the time I've spent with our Beaverton team and I think it was the perfect group for God to choose for partnering. But also I've really really missed me friends back home, I cant really describe how much I've missed all of you. Well that perty much covers it for now, we have to save some stories for later.  :)

Carl, Thanks for the detailed report! It all sounds like a lot of fun mixed in with the work. We will keep praying that great things will happen and that God's purposes will be done for everyone involved.
